Welcome to my world
My name is Noa Zohar Hochberg, and I'm an artist, painter and creator.
My art focuses on Judaism – its heart, its essence, and its ancient, wondrous texts. The
human yearning and longing for something hidden, for infinite wholesomeness and
connection, for paradise.
The alphabet and the Torah provide me with infinite creative materials, and open a
fascinating world of development, learning and pleasure.
The holy Torah is alive, its heart beating with ours, and its context changing depending on
our time and place.
Therefore, it is infinite.
We must discover it, expand its ideas, relish in its beauty.
Some of the questions I explore include – how does our relationship with God manifest? Is it
a finite body communicating with infinity, or the opposite?
What is God asking us to become, based on the exposed and hidden aspects of the Torah?
How does all this affect us, the people?
Art enables me to explore and learn the Torah through my heart and palms, and inject
meaning through experiences, often resulting in a deeper understanding of His constant
watch over me. It relinquishes the need to grasp or hold on to the concepts, and rather
enables the information to flow through, presenting the beautiful flavors of the Torah.
Comprehensively, this leads to unique art pieces and paintings, made of dreams and
aspirations.
I specialize in abstract and botanic paintings, Hebrew calligraphy, ink, water and acrylic
paint, on mediums such as paper, canvas, wood and other surfaces.
I enjoy working with any moldable, adaptable material, be it wood, strings, plants, lighting
and more.
My work and my art are the fruits of my desire to place the realization of love, compassion
and light the Torah brings into the world, and the hope and truth in God's constant watch. I
aspire to excite and bring joy to viewers.
